White Lagoon

The White Lagoon is an Andean lake placed within the Reserve. Its water screens a whitish colour owing to the high level of minerals. It is located in on the high Andean plateau area. With a dry climate, it is 5,6 km long and 3,5 km wide. It has an altitude of 4000 m above sea level. It is connected to the Green lagoon by a small strait. Its shore perimeter reaches 22 km.

Green Lagoon

With a surface of 17 Km2, the green lagoon has an emerald green colouring due to the high concentration of magnesium in its waters. The Licancabur volcano lies nearby, with an altitude of 5,868 meters / 19,252 feet. This is a place where mountain climbing can be practiced. Licancabur Volcano is one of the highest active volcanoes. In its crater, it has the highest lagoon on earth.

Red Lagoon

The colours and population of the flamingos are the inherent elements that give it its name. At noon and in the afternoon, that colouring becomes more evident.
