
Santa Teresa Museum
Built in 1761, it keeps a beautiful collection of paintings and religious objects. In addition, its dwellers make delicious marzipan candies, famous and demanded from the Colonial times to nowadays.
San Francisco Church
It is the first church that was built in Potosi. It was founded in 1685. Inside, there is an exposition of colonial paintings and display works by the renowned painter Melchor Perez de Holguín, considered among the three biggest in America. From its terraces there is panoramic view of the city.
San Lorenzo Church
This church presents an entrance carved in a mestizo-baroque style. It is one of the main attractions of the city. Some paintings by Melchor Perez de Holguín are displayed on the church walls. The art is the most significant example of American architecture, including indigenous deities such as the sun, the moon, the stars and symbols of Christianity.
Cerro Rico (Rich Mountain)
The Cerro Rico or Sumac Orcko, with an altitude of 4.800 m, is very famous because in colonial times its silver seams were the most important in the world.
